Three Angels Clinic is a free, faith-based healthcare clinic. We believe everyone, regardless of income, should have access to quality health care.

Our medical staff administers care to qualified patients from all walks of life who do not have medical insurance, are of low income, or who are medically under served. We provide primary care, preventive care and chronic disease management. Since we advocate treating the whole you, our clinic is staffed with volunteers who can address both your physical and spiritual needs.

We do not operate on a sliding fee scale. Once you meet eligibility guidelines, there are no payments of any kind required from you.

We currently see patients (by appointment only) at several locations throughout Ocala.  Call us at 352.537.2289 to schedule an appointment.

Guidance for those who seek it

We believe having an active spiritual life plays an important part of maintaining a balanced life outlook. Faith, a belief in God and prayer can have positive effects in your life whether you are healthy or sick. For the sick, it can help reduce anxiety about the future. If you are physically well, a spiritual connection with God can aid you in facing life’s other challenges as well as inspire you to help others grow in their spiritual journey as well. Our Chaplain is happy to support you with prayer or by answering your questions.

Health related education classes are given on a regular basis by professionals who are experts in their fields. Classes are designed to give you actionable information which you can use to improve your life. Past topics have included:

*Mental Health and Depression

*HIV/AIDs Prevention and Treatment

*General Healthy Living Education

*Dental Health

*Health Effects of Tobacco Use

Classes begin between 6:30-7PM and last approximately one hour. No appointment is necessary to attend.

General eligibility guidelines

To receive free services from Three Angels Clinic, you must be a resident of Marion county, have no form of insurance (including Medicare and Medicaid), and have an annual household income that is at 200% or below of the federal poverty level. Our on-site volunteers can screen you for eligibility, or you can call us at352.537.2289. We are not an emergency facility. If you have a medical emergency, please go immediately to the emergency center nearest you.

Meet Our Staff

Highy qualified professionals
Dr. Joanne Davson Sterling
TAC Sr. Medical Director and Board Certified Family Medicine Physician

Dr. Sterling is the clinic’s Medical Director and one of its founding members. Her area of specialty is family practice. Dr. Sterling believes everyone, regardless of economic status, should have access to good health care. In addition to her duties with Three Angels Clinic (TAC) she works as a full-time physician at Florida Hospital.

Kevin Barrett
TAC Chairman & Treasurer
Certified Respiratory Therapist

Kevin Barrett is a co-founder of the clinic. He is the clinic’s chairman and currently serves as its treasurer as well. Kevin is a Certified Respiratory Therapist and has worked in the medical profession for over 15 years. He fervently believes our communities are made stronger when more people have access to quality health care.

Herma Cole
TAC Nurse Specialist and Registered Nurse (RN)

Herma Cole is one of the clinic’s registered nurses. She is semi-retired, but continues to be very involved in many volunteer activities in Ocala. Herma brings over 35 years of work experience as a nurse in both Canada and the United States to the clinic.

Marlene Williams
TAC Chaplain; Lay Pastor for Marion Oaks SDA Church and Nursing Assistant

Marlene Williams provides pastoral support for the clinic. Counselor. She is an active volunteer at Munroe Regional Medical Center providing pastoral care services to patients there. Marlene’s mission is to meet the spiritual needs and give hope and assurance to those who have given up faith in themselves and in God.
